About This Program

This exhibition has been organized by the Western Uganda World Revival Network in conjunction with the Mbarara City United Organic Farmers and Traders Co-operative Society, with the aim of supporting farmers and traders in Western Uganda and across the entire country. Farmers and traders from various regions of Uganda have been invited to showcase their diverse products and skills to the public. In addition, participants will receive training on best practices in crop farming, animal rearing, and value addition, all geared toward increasing household income. Several facilitators from the Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Trade, and other institutions have been invited to train the participants. A demonstration farm has been set up to exhibit improved agricultural practices—including a black soldier fly farm, where organic fertilizers and animal feeds are produced. This initiative promotes organic farming using natural fertilizers to grow crops such as moringa and vegetables. A nursery bed and a greenhouse are also in place. Farmers and traders are eagerly anticipating access to both local and expanded markets, given the large number of people expected to attend the exhibition. Key organizations such as the Ministry of Agriculture, NARO Uganda, Mbarara City Council, NOGAMU, Onesm Health Care Products Ltd, Ankole Demonstration Zoo, Savannah Beekeepers, and the National Small Scale Industries Authority will be present to offer training on value addition and improved agriculture. Additionally, NEMA and the Ministry of Water will provide guidance on environmental conservation. The exhibition is scheduled to take place from 2nd to 9th May 2027 at the former Teofilo Gardens, now known as Irembo Cultural Gardens, located in Rwobuyenje South Trading Centre, Mbarara City.
